CONFLUENCE 2016: A Statewide Arts Convening – “Better Together – Best Practices from the Field” – Registration is Now Open!

Californians for the Arts is pleased to announce that registration is now open for CONFLUENCE 2016, taking place September 26-27 in Sacramento!

CONFLUENCE 2016 will feature discussions by leading experts on topics such as Arts Education, Arts in Corrections, Storytelling and Making the Case for the Arts, Cultural Districts, Diversity & Equity, Collaborating with business, Arts and Technology, Arts marketing, Public Art, Working with Individual Artists, fundraising, grants and more.

Best practices, success stories and practical implementation strategies will be shared so participants leave with more tools to be effective arts advocates.

On Day One, network, share ideas and learn best practices from your fellow arts leaders, state-local partners and arts advocates. Enjoy keynote speakers and breakout sessions that will you leave inspired and prepared to continue the rewarding work of being arts leaders in your communities.

Join us also for a reception and awards ceremony at the Empress Tavern Monday night, more time to network and share!

On Day Two, get prepared for your legislative visit at the Advocacy 101 breakout session in the morning. Participants will learn effective strategies to speak with legislators and their staff, best practices for communicating your case to your local government and business community and how can you make a difference on the Federal level too.
