Last year’s Confluence was held in April 2015, and featured speakers and panel discussions on such topics as “Building Public Will for Arts and Culture,” “A Good Vintage: Trends in Arts & Aging Programs,” “The Entrepreneurial Organization: Balance Mission-and Budgets,” “Arts Education 2015: What You Need to Know About Common Core, LCFF and STEAM,” “The Power of Art: Effective Intervention for At-Risk Youth,” “Back at Home: Arts & Veterans,” “Innovation, Engagement, Sustainability: Results from Philanthropic Initiatives,” and a screening of the KCET Artbound documentary “State of Creativity.”
Attendees also gathered on the steps of the State Capitol building for performances and many visited the offices of their legislative representatives during their stay.
The program for this year’s convening is now being developed and will be announced in the weeks ahead, along with information about how to register and hotel accommodations. Stay tuned!
